Sire: Flemmingh, 1.70 Bay
Approved KWPN, Old. (dec.)
Flemmingh sires
beautiful big, long lined horses with three perfect gaits. This can be
seen on numerous Ster and Keur mares and champion foals. His foals are
very much in demand by dressage riders, trainers and dealers because
they are very eager learners, like to work and move very easily.
Flemmingh is an internationally appreciated dressage stallion.
The
first international performances of his offspring have shown them to be
truly world class. His son Lingh has won in Intermediare 1 and Prix St.
George, and his son Krack C won a Kur at Prix St George. Krack C was
selected by Olympic Gold medalist Anky Van Grunsven for training.
Dam:
Amsterdam 165cm Blk/Brn Head Studbook AWHA (dec.)
Amsterdam
is the result of purpose breeding over many years to produce a mare that
was suitable to breed international quality. She was started as a 4yo
and showed great promise both in dressage and showjumping. She was
ridden to Official novice level and was showing lovely clear rounds over
3' fences before being retired to stud as a 6 year old. She was an
extremely sensitive and enthusiastic mare. She had strong but light
rhythmic paces and an eagerness to please. She was a strong well boned
mare with excellent conformation. In 2003 Amsterdam tragically died
shourtly after having her last foal, BB Concerto (see For Sale). She
was 11 years old and is greatly missed. Thank you my dear girl for the
foals and the memories.
The combination of two excellent types, in Flemmingh
and Amsterdam resulted in the outstanding colt, BB Flemminghton.

Inspection
report of Flemmingh. He is a very honest obedient stallion with a good
nature, he is friendly and joyful. In the beginning of the inspection
during the introduction to the saddle Flemmingh looks very youthful in
his work: sometimes the stallion lets his tongue hang out of his mouth.
Flemmingh gives the rider a reasonably good feeling. The walk is roomy
and active the trot has sufficient movement. The trot gives a little bit
the impression, by the use of the front legs, of being untidy. The
canter is very good and by jumping, Flemmingh shows a change in
technique, he is very careful and shows a lot of ability. In the country
Flemmingh has a very good canter. He could lay a bit more in the tempo
of the canter. Flemmingh is very willing to work and he takes his work
as easy. As a dressage horse Flemmingh has sufficient talent; as a
showjumper he has a lot of talent. At the arrival at the inspection
centre his condition was good and during the inspection and work the
condition remained the same. In the stable the stallion shows to be very
quiet. The veterinary report shows no peculiarities.
He looks
quite strongly built, a riding type stallion with a fatherly expression
and a very impressive front. The mid section could be a little bit
stronger while he also gives the impression of being a bit high on his
legs. The angle of the pasterns is a touch weak.
The report of
the mother, called Texas by the Holsteiner, Carneval. Inspection in
1990.
Also a solid developed riding type mare, almost a touch too
big. She has a very impressive face and a very nice shaped neck. The
withers and the shoulders are fantastic the back is good. The loins
could be a little more muscled. Very well shaped croup that could be a
touch longer. The front legs from the side are very well positioned
however the left front leg is a little pigeon toed. The hind legs a
touch long. Through an accident, the front fetlocks are a bit thick but
the rest of the bone work is very well developed. The walk is very good
the trot could be a touch roomier and more powerful. Her size was 174cm

BB
Flemminghton.
Bay 16.1/2 hh Born 1999
Flemmingh (Holst) / Dutchman (KWPN))
BB
Flemminghton is an elegant horse who possesses superb conformation,
looks and impeccable bloodlines. His athletic and correct paces together
with a kind and trainable temperament assure him of success in his
dressage or showjumping career.
BB Flemminghton was bred in
Australia using imported frozen semen. He inherits his fathers mind,
movement and conformation. He is an athlete with incredible lightness
and agility. His movement is expressive with perfect rhythm.
He has
shown great style and scope whilst Free Jumping as a 2 year old.
'Mac' had his stallion assessment with I.S.S.A. in
August, 2002, finishing with the highest mark out of all the stallions
assessed. Not only was his movement superb, he scored an 8.6 for
freejumping, and was shortly after sort by one of the assessors to stand
at one of Australia's leading Warmblood studs.
He was started under
saddle by Hayley Beresford in October, 2002, and after only six rides
was finished!! Hayley then campaigned him before he was moved to NSW
where he was campaigned by Graham Chapple. His movement under saddle is
breathtaking and his trainability is ten out of ten.
He is out of Amsterdam (dec.), a Head Studbook
mare with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association. Amsterdam had
powerful yet light, rhythmic and expressive movement. She was an
excellent jumper with great style as well as being super careful.
BB Flemminghton, with his refined looks also makes him
a favourite for owners of Arab and show quality mares who are looking
to outcross to a Warmblood stallion.
